Mariners Chest

This mariners chest was inspired primarily from rebuilding vintage Gold Cup racing speedboats. The hulls of these sleek craft often appeared to sparkle when the sun reflected off the water and onto the thousands of varnished brass screw heads which were hand filed flush to the mahogany exterior. These screws played a vital role in securing the planking against the inevitable punishment the boats would face in their focused, hard working lives. Joining the case are rugged dovetails common to the rum running water craft of the era.
